Darq E Freaker – Keep Watch Vol. XXXI (Mix)

Mishka linked up with UK grime producer Darq E Freaker for their 31st volume of the Keep Watch mix series. A few years ago with dubsteps rise in popularity, grime’s in frantic sounds quickly lost ground to the growling wobbles of 2008 dubstep. Due to that fact, I am happy to see the genre making a big comeback in the UK and hopefully a crossover in the US. I’ve always thought the genre could fit in well with Miami Bass.

The Hood Internet – The Hood Internet (Album)

A few months back, The Hood Internet dropped the BBU and Das Racist assisted single “Please No Pictures”. This week THI dropped their self-titled debut album w/ the help of Mishka. With contributions from artists like Freddie Gibbs, Ninjasonik, and Foster The People, The Hood Internet has crafted a fairly impressive project.

Lakutis – I’m In the Forest EP

Das Racist co-conspirator Lakutis recently linked up with Mishka and Greedhead, Das Racist’s record label, for his debut a release a 7 track EP titled “I’m In The Forest”. If you’re into Das Racist’s nerdy, tongue in cheek style, then you should go ahead and download this project. It’s well worth the disk space.

Craze – Keep Watch XVI [Mixtape]

Craze recently linked up with Mishka to contribute to their Keep Watch mixtape series.  If you’re into the whole multi-genre subbass thing, then you’ll definitely dig the champion turntablist chopping it up.  PS. I missed the Crookers mix, so I’m including that as a bonus.

Jack Beats – Keep Watch XIV [Mixtape]

Mishka keeps the bassline rolling with their Keep Watch mixtape series.  The 14th edition in the series is presented by the infamous duo Jack Beats.  Featuring a ton of tunes you wish you had, this is a great blend of all things heavy bass.  Some thumping techno beats, a lil electro house, and tons of wobble.  I remember when clown step debuted with all of the wobble.  I would have never believed that the wobble would take over dance music.

Rusko – Keep Watch! Vol. 12 [Mixtape]

The homie Squincy Jones sent me a few dubs the other day that I was about to post until I asked dude if it was cool.  Mr. Jones informed me that it wouldn’t be cool, but somehow we ended up agreeing that he will be a contributor to MHC.  Be on the watch for a new monthly feature titled “Dub Selections from Squincy Jones”.  As a taste of what’s to come, Squincy busted out this review of Rusko’s feature on Mishka’s Keep Watch mixtape series.

This is the12th Installment of Mishka’s KEEP WATCH Mix this time featuring the Almighty Rusko.  Normally I don’t really peep mixes because its frustrating as shit listening to tunes you can’t have for awhile.  (Insert pissed off gas face smiley icon thing).  But other than that this mix thrashes from front to back.  Tracks that stand out on this mix are the 2 Jakes joints, the Dire Straits joint and 2 girls 1 cup (eww).  ALSO, the Redlight (aka Clipz) joints on here are illllllllllllllllllllll!

Rusko hits H-Town day after Thanksgiving.  (WOOHOOOO!)
